Pages That May Interest Yourselves,
Here at Sonstrid we are big believers in there is always something more to learn. We've compiled a few here below that we use regularly or that we feel are worth knowing about :)
Your local obedience club is an absolute must. This is the kind of training that will take you beyond puppy school basics. Our local club that we are affiliated with is The Logan All Breeds Obedience Club and the other half of sonstrid border collies is an instructor here. However in the past we have also attended The Jimboomba Dog Training club. The obedience environment also allows you to learn/enter rally-o competitions with your dogs which is a more chatty and broken down version of obedience:

For information that you may need on Agility under the ANKC in QLD you can use the link below, however your local ANKC affiliated club will also be able to help you. We currently train at Perception Agility and are thoroughly enjoying it:

For information regarding The Agility Dog Association of Australia look below. When we began training in agility we attended classes at Brisbane Agility Dog Club. They put the health of the dogs first and have a 100% positive environment so we thoroughly recommend them. We now train with friends at Perception Agility and are really enjoying it :

You can find information for Canine Disc at https://caninediscaustralia.com/ We are currently members of Disc Fanatics and travel down there for fun and pointers when we get the chance :)
We at Sonstrid started off in our love for flyball so it will always have a soft spot in our heart. We are proud members of All Paws Airborne Flyball club and couldnt be prouder to be part of a bunch of goodhearted people. You can find your local club via the AFA site and most clubs are active on their facebook pages :)

We also compete in Tricks under the ANKC and whilst we don't have a link for this you can ask the people at the ANKC affiliated dog clubs listed above. Its a nice gentle intro to the competition world and also an amazing way to bond with your dogs.
One of the best websites for information relating to the health and lifestyle of Pedigree dogs is the Australian National Kennel Club in particular the tab on health. I will also link the website for QLD Border Collie club:

I would also recommend that as a future pet owner you take the time to learn about Canine Discoid Lupus which is beginning to occur more and more throughout the breed. Pay attention in particular to the noses of the parents of your puppy. Anything that does not look right, such as sunburn, sores, loss of pigment or texture could be a sign of something more serious. Its not "collie nose".
